Camp counselors at Camp Floyd Rogers have a vital and unique role working directly with campers (children ages 8 to 18) during the annual CFR summer camp.
CFR is actively recruiting qualified applicants who are hard working, 18 years of age or older, team oriented, and enjoy working with children to serve as counselors for our overnight, week-long camp.
Qualifications
The Basics:
All individuals applying need a sense of responsibility and an understanding of the dynamics of 24 hour child care as well as organizational skills necessary to meet scheduled activities with enthusiasm.
Physical:
Adequate physical condition necessary to meet the demands of attending/leading a 24-hour, week long, outdoor camp is required. Typical camp physical activities include hiking, canoeing, and team sports (e.g. soccer).
Experience:
While formal experience is preferred, Camp Floyd Rogers will accept applications from individuals who do not posses such formal training, but have a love for children and enjoy working in a summer camp setting.
